Just on March 12, a worker lost his life after an accident occurred in works at Felipe Angeles International Airport. According to the first reports, a lock would have been fractured during the construction of a highway distributor that flows into the air terminal. However, authorities pointed out that this would not mean changes to the scheduled opening date.

In addition, on the same day, it was announced that the company in charge of the administration of the airport complex granted a contract for MXN 26.4 million to a specialized company that will be responsible for the control of harmful fauna in and around the infrastructure of the President of the Republic's flagship project.

The work, which had an investment of 15,223 million pesos, until a month ago had only 87% progress in its construction. In order to achieve the purpose of delivering the place ready by March 21, there have been workers divided into three different shifts and thus continue the work work 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It should be noted that the new AIFA plans to start its activities with at least 8 commercial flights.
