The victory of Kyara Villanella, Alondra Huarac and Gaela Barraza at Miss Peru La Pre 2022 has been called into question due to their blood ties with media figures. Several candidates for the contest have accused the organization of having alleged preferences towards the “daughters of celebrities”, thus leaving others aside teenagers who dreamed of the crown.

During the official presentation of the winners of the beauty contest, who will represent Peru in the upcoming international competitions, the young models were consulted about this controversy. “What do you think about what they say they have been chosen because they are the daughters of a well-known dad or mom?” , asked a reporter from Magaly Medina.

The first to respond was Kyara Villanella, daughter of Keiko Fujimori, who has been the victim of social media bullying since it was announced as the winner. The young influencer admitted to feeling “disappointed” by her former teammates' statements.

“I'm a little disappointed because I really felt like they were my friends. I know that every opinion is valid and that's fine, I respect it, but I'm really a little sad about that,” said the daughter of the former presidential candidate, wearing a flattering pink outfit that matched her crown.

Gaela Barraza, Mia Loveday, Alondra Huarac and Kyara Villanella were the winners of the contest.

For her part, the daughter of music producer Nilver Huarac said: “I don't like to say things about other people, I feel that I don't have the right to have an opinion on someone. I feel very sorry. I don't feel very attacked, I've also seen that I have good comments. I hope that those people (those who criticize it) can find something that makes them happy.”

In the case of Gaela Barraza, daughter of 'Tomate' Barraza, regretted that her alleged friends ended up against her because of her victory at Miss Peru The Pre. “I'm not the only one who considered the girls who participated in the contest to be friends, and that's how they decided to attack us. But what they wanted to think is respected, but from there to make those comments... I don't think so,” he said.

Mia Loveday, the only one who has been spared criticism for not having a known surname, regretted that her companions are going through such an uncomfortable situation because the comments of others “hurt their feelings.”

FINAL CONTROVERSY

After Jessica Newton announced to the four teenagers that they will travel to El Salvador to prepare for the upcoming international competitions, netizens did not hesitate to raise their voice of protest against the organization. Netizens considered the result “unfair”, since the winners would not have given the best answers compared to the other candidates.

Immediately, social media users called the jury's decision a “scam”, noting that the young winners were only chosen for being the daughters of well-known television and political characters. Let's remember that Kyara Villanella is Keiko's daughter, Gaela Barraza is the daughter of 'Tomate' Barraza and Alondra Huarac is the daughter of Nilver Huarac.

This was reinforced by the statements of Camila Hernández Macera, who was one of the candidates of the contest who failed to enter the Top 10. After learning that he had been left out, he spoke out through his Instagram stories to ensure that Miss Peru La Pre 2022 was already “fixed”.

“Everything was unfortunately arranged, I never wanted to believe it or accept it, but unfortunately it was. And I'm not saying that because I didn't happen, I think we all know who passed without lifting a finger for other reasons,” he wrote on his networks.
