'The Magpie' left with everything. Magaly Medina was not silent and gave her point of view following complaints from former participants of the Miss Peru: La pre contest, who indicated that there was an alleged favoritism in the contest for the daughters of celebrities to reach the final of the contest and compete for the crown.
At the beginning of her program, Magaly Medina revealed that some parents had written to her and left audios, where they complain about the preference or supposed favoritism, which could have occurred at Miss Peru La Pre.
“Kyara Villanella just came in, what preparation can she have? Very little, and I think there are girls, who were already preparing for a long time in advance. Because commercially and in the media it suits them, having famous surnames, children of acquaintances, you already know that Newton loves to bond with that type of people”, he said Magaly Medina in the beginning.
(The surname) Those should not be conditions that make you a favorite or finalist in a contest. There were girls who have been preparing for months,” said Magaly Medina, very uncomfortable.
The host of Magaly TV La Firme made it clear that surnames should not be a requirement to win the beauty pageant. “Your surname should not play or the extent to which your surname and media participation favor the organization of these contests,” said the host of the ATV space.
As everyone knows, the eliminated girls have raised their voices of protest and denounce favoritism through their social networks.
'Tomate' Barraza breastfeeds for her daughter
Carlos Barraza, believes that his daughter is paying the price of carrying a surname known in the middle. “I understand that all parents want their daughters to win, nobody likes their daughters to lose. But you have to prepare your daughters for that. Not because your name is Barraza, Villanella or Huarac, you're going to have things easy. On the contrary, it is a double job,” the singer told Magaly TV La Firme.
Jessica Newton prefers silence
Jessica Newton, organizer of the event, preferred not to say anything in the face of the waves of questioning of the beauty pageant. “Silence has been my best response this year and I'm going to keep it that way,” he told the show program.
“Well, Miss Peru's organization will say mission accomplished, we have bounced in the press and we are on everyone's lips. Everyone is talking about Miss Peru La Pre. But the price these teenagers have to pay is very high, they are not prepared for criticism,” said Magaly Medina at the end of the report.
“There are people who criticize their surname, in the case of Kyara Villanella they have criticized her even the arms she has. A total cyberbullying,” said the Magpie.
