La Libertad: landslide leaves dozens of houses buried in Pataz

In the morning, a group of inhabitants of the province of Pataz in La Libertad suffered a landslide when a hill fell in that town. No deaths are reported yet.

This Tuesday, March 15, the inhabitants of Pataz in the Libertad region, reported a landslide of the Retamas hill, located behind the municipal camal. According to the first reports, they say that dozens of homes are affected after this collapse.

It was also known that the Peruvian Air Force is doing all the coordination to reach the affected city as soon as possible. As they mentioned in RPP Noticias, there are exactly 16 hours from Trujillo to Pataz, so the arrival by road would extend the time to provide the necessary help.

So far there have been no human losses, but there are settlers who would be underground, so the arrival of the authorities is requested as soon as possible to rescue the inhabitants of Pataz.
