After a controversial video was released in which Senator and Presidential Candidate John Milton Rodríguez, allegedly insulted a citizen last Sunday in the middle of the elections, different versions have come out about this fact and even Rodriguez, went out to step explaining what happened and clarifying his reaction, that although indicates that it was not correct not everything seems to be as shown in the video.

Last Sunday, March 13, both citizens and candidates went to the polls to exercise their right to vote, John Milton Rodríguez did the same and after leaving his polling place, he met who allegedly would be a follower of today's candidate Gustavo Petro Urrego, in the film material shows the moment when Rodríguez accompanied by several people enter a high-end van, while later they see a subject passing by and directing their words towards the vehicle situation that would provoke a dispute between the two.

Initially, it is evident how the Christian candidate ascends the vehicle in the front, throwing slaps at the citizen who disclaims him, an exchange of words is perceived and before fully entering the vehicle, you hear how the senator tells the citizen “put it as you like liar petrist”, however, the networks social authorities pointed to another situation, as users indicated that the presidential candidate's statement had been different, allegedly the lobbyist had said “put it as you like petrist H...”.

The presidential candidate came out to give his version and affirmed that everything had been misrepresented against him, considering that they were provoking and preparing a big lie from manipulation and deception, noting that he reacted in defense of the women who were accompanying him and that he would never have said a rudeness.

Regarding the subject, the candidate of the Colombia Justa Libres party indicated: “First, it is never pleasant that kind of situation; to see a man who is verbally assaulting some ladies for political issues, a kind of political persecution, even religious, the situation occurred because we were sharing some photos, we are very happy we had finished voting and he started shouting things against Christians, things against the ladies who were there and who were accompanying me, he started treating them as thieves and I told him no, not how to treat other people, I told him not to tell lies, that if we have robbed him, something tell us that we have stolen ourselves. we have stolen nothing, because you should not treat people like that.”

Regarding his conduct and analysis of the facts, Rodríguez said: “When he is still more aggressive, then I told him to respect people and that was the reaction, I would never say rudeness to a person because they know that it is not so, the biggest rudeness that a person would say to him is “big head”, it's not because he gives them to me as pure, but because he doesn't they come out, I don't get rude words, the truth is that in my case I will be more careful, but it always seems to me that the man being gouache is very uncomfortable. I was not rude I told him not to be a liar and if I told him a petrist, because he manifested himself as such.” .

To this day, candidate John Milton Rodríguez remains in doubt despite having registered his candidacy, as the National Electoral Council ruled against him following the demand of the president of the Colombia Justa Libres party, Ricardo Arias. Despite this, Rodríguez registered his candidacy for the first presidential round, but it is expected that the next few days the party demands this registration and asks the CNE to cancel it.
