STEM education is a path to develop the skills students need in the 21st century by integrating science, technology, engineering and mathematics. And Ticmas invites teachers from all areas and levels to a training workshop to share interesting practices, tools, suggestions and resources for the implementation of educational activities and projects with this focus.

It is a participatory, dynamic — and very fun — meeting with Hugo Rojas, a specialist in educational innovation and STEM education projects for Latin America. The proposal is to address from different aspects the importance of critical and scientific thinking and even computational thinking to recognize the great learning opportunities that can be provided to students.

As another aspect of the workshop, work will be done on the impact of digital tools and technology on teaching processes. Digital literacy is a very powerful axis for achieving the capabilities of a digital citizen. These axes allow us to teach and learn in a creative and innovative way the areas of knowledge that are necessary in our reality. In addition to developing values and principles that will allow students a conscious and relevant look to be involved in solving the problems of the context that surrounds them.

The STEM Education: Spark Interest in Your Students Workshop is open and free to the teaching community. It is done by Zoom today, Tuesday, March 15, at 17.30.

To enroll.
