“The girl went to report her boyfriend and didn't take the complaint... He asked her out.” Researchers don't hide the anger. It is that the young woman reported that it was a policeman who harassed her when she went to ask for help at the Ricardo Rojas police station in Tigre. He was arrested and disaffected by the Buenos Aires Police, as Infobae learned.

It all happened this Sunday, around 8 o'clock, in the Ricardo Rojas substation, located in Carlos Delcasse 2.909, in the northern area of the Conurbano, where there was later some damage, as relatives of the victim went to rebuke the accused policeman when they found out what had happened.

According to what the victim later stated, the policeman, identified as deputy officer Marcelo Ezequiel Bogado, took advantage of the situation when the 21-year-old girl entered the substation crying to take refuge from her boyfriend, and with the decision to report him and initiate a case for gender-based violence.

“He grabbed her hand, hugged her, touched her leg, gave her a kiss on the cheek and left her cell phone number on a piece of paper so that she could call him out,” a judicial source linked to the case told Telam news agency.

The 31-year-old deputy assistant Bogado joined the Tigre Local Police (UPPL Tigre) in April 2015. After what happened, he was arrested and the General Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Security of Buenos Aires decided to disengage him from the Force, they informed the media.

After what happened at the subpolice station, the young woman went home, told her family what had happened with the policeman, and several relatives went to rebuke the officer at the police headquarters, where there were also riots and some damage, something that was even recorded in a video that was spread on social networks.

The head of the Tigre Departmental Security Police Station (EPDS), Lucas Borge, was the one who - upon learning about the context in which the police and the substation had been attacked - reported it and gave immediate intervention to the Tigre Gender Violence Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) and the Internal Affairs Audit.

At the discretion of the prosecutor Mariela Miozzo, Bogado was arrested on charges of “failure to fulfill the duties of a public official”, for failing to take the victim's complaint. The official also evaluated the behavior of the deputy assistant towards the young woman and - as in any private crime such as this one - waited for the victim's decision to institute criminal action to see if he charges him with any type of simple sexual abuse.

In addition to the case against the police officer, there are two other related files: on the one hand, the original complaint of the victim against her boyfriend, who is being investigated by another prosecutor of the UFI for Gender Violence in Tigre, and on the other, the damage caused by the relatives of the young woman in the section, which will be left to the prosecutor of Rincón de Milberg, Sebastian Fitipaldi.
