After the lawsuit about the bioseries by Vicente Fernández where it was stated that it is a contempt of authority for the use of the image of charro, Juan Osorio, producer of the series, and protagonists commented on the program Hoy that no censorship will be allowed and that the series will be released at 8:30am the evening this Monday, March 14.
“The truth is that I am very happy to inform the public that today we are going to release El Último Rey, the son of the people, especially because it is a very important, which is behind a book written by Olga Wornat and the book we have respected the writers, the whole literary part and well in some way we are paying homage to an idol, a Mexican that the people obviously have to know all his life and how he got to this step, well, through his childhood, sacrifices, about all of this great passion for what he wanted”, commented producer Juan Osorio.
He also stated that it is a project made by Mexicans for Mexicans: “I think we should give this proposal the opportunity and let it see with what professionalism, with what quality it is being done, I think it is a Mexican product of a great Mexican idol and a 100% Mexican charro. Let's not forget that it is a project that will be broadcast on open television because that would not want Vicente to be charged for the content.”
Pablo Montero explained how important it is for him to play his idol: “I am very grateful, for me it is an honor and a privilege and a blessing from God that he chose me to play my idol, someone I loved since I was a child who has lived so many things, who gave me a lot of advice, that if I am singing it is because of him, I am doing each scene with great respect, Juan is taking care of each scene,” he said, also telling some stories of his parents with Don Vicente and Doña Cuquita when he was just a child.
He also mentioned excitedly that he has recorded 40 songs by the singer so his work has moved him and he can't help feeling in some scenes.
Osorio reiterated: ''We have great respect for the Fernández family, we made this content respecting but we also have a commitment, this company and a server to take care of the idol, whatever is legal we don't enter.” He also spoke about the criticism that Pablo Montero has received for playing Charro de Huentitán: “I have always said one thing, a charro dress has to feel, he has to believe it, the one who rides a horse, the one who screams, the one who sits and stands in a palenque, and that is what happened with Pablo Montero , if anyone is responsible, yes, I chose Pablo Montero because he has the characteristics, I think he is charro 100 percent.”
He ended with a greeting to Doña Cuquita: “We sent a kiss and a loving hug to Doña Cuquita, we know she is a mom, but I think she should give us the opportunity to see the treatment, affection and emotion that we have put into this project, we send her a kiss”.
