What impact did this script have when you read it?

“This script and the book also have an element of magical realism and a true sense of art in the way they approach the exploration of these themes, which for me is the function of art in itself and why we do this. Everything is to explore difficult topics through metaphor and explore the most difficult topic: the loss of a family member and a loved one. This story has a beautiful style, almost Amelie's style and I really like that idea.”

What was the biggest challenge in facing this character?

“The greatest one had to do with the truth, especially since this character is an honest man who says everything openly.”

What topics are addressed in this film?

“There are only two things: love and fear. I think this story examines what is really important in life. And it has been revealed to all of us just this year, in the midst of the pandemic and well, it will surely inspire several to move on.”

How was the work with Josephine Decker in her role as director?

“Josephine really approaches all the subjects that the film treats as if it were a work of art. In addition, she was very clear about how she wanted the characters to be, and I liked the confidence she generated on set.”

How important is music in this film?

“I think the musical component moves you as a spectator. I mean you play music when you're sad because you need to be happy. You can do a lot with music. So I do think it's a big part of the emotional component of the film.”
