The war in Ukraine continues to hit other industries and esports are no stranger to what is happening. With strong restrictions on Russia-based esports organizations — and even more so on those with government ties — Virtus.pro and Gambit Esports are the biggest hit.

While the VP roster began its participation in the CS:GO league, ESL Pro League Season 15 (EPL), without direct affiliation with the organization, the Gambit roster decision was made public a few days ago. In addition, they must do the same in the Riot Games VALORANT competitions.

During the morning they announced, through a statement, that they will allow the roster composed of Redgar, d3ffo, Sheydos, Chronicle and NATs to participate in the VALORANT Championship Tour as an independent team.

“It continues to be a very difficult time for everyone, not least for all of us with family and friends in Ukraine. During these times, esports can continue to serve fans from different countries and cultures and we sincerely hope that tournaments continue and that players focus on competition and sportsmanship,” they explained.

The organization's public statement also included a message of support to its players for the upcoming competitions in which they participate. This is the same roster that was the champion of the VALORANT Masters Berlin 2021 and runner-up in the first edition of VALORANT Champions. As for the CS:GO team, they are playing the EPL under the name Players and will have their first Group C match on March 23 against Party Astronauts.

After the postponements of the meetings of the CIS teams, the VALORANT roster will resume its VALORANT EMEA Challengers matches on March 16, with three games pending to define the European playoff qualifiers.
