RMA enjoyed a mesmerising home victory against Valencia at Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday. RMA were looking to pick up points, following a 2-1 victory against Athletic Bilbao. Valencia, on the other hand, lost 2-1 in the last match they played against Espanyol. As the table looks today, RMA and Valencia currently occupy 1st and 8th spots in the table, with 49 points and 28 points respectively after 20 matches.

Los Blancos didn't take long to start the rout, with Karim Benzema opening the rout just before half-time

RMA started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with a goal from Vinicius Junior in the 52nd minute. RMA looked to have the game under control when they scored again and incerased their lead, thanks to a 2nd effort from Vinicius Junior in the 61st minute to establish a 3-0. However, The Bats weren't lying down and managed to pull back a goal from Goncalo Guedes in the 76th minute. In the end though, RMA secured the points emphatically, with a second effort from Karim Benzema just before the final whistle and seeing the game end 4-1.

For RMA, Dani Ceballos, Eduardo Camavinga, Nacho, Federico Valverde and Isco, came on for Luka Modric, Casemiro, Lucas Vazquez, Vinicius Junior and Karim Benzema. Valencia brought on Koba Koindredi, Denis Cheryshev, Marcos De Sousa, Ruben Iranzo Lendinez and Manu Vallejo, to replace Helder Costa, Yunus Musah, Maxi Gomez, Cristiano Piccini and Koba Koindredi.

There were bookings for Casemiro, Eder Militao and Ferland Mendy from RMA, and Cristiano Piccini, Yunus Musah and Denis Cheryshev, for Valencia.

RMA next face Elche and Valencia are at home to Seville.
