The momentum was now with Nerazzurri, who then scored again through a goal from Lautaro Martinez at the 77 minute mark to establish a 4-0. Inter then scored once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Roberto Gagliardini just before the final whistle with a final score of 5-0.
For Salernitana, Milan Djuric, Andrea Schiavone, Cedric Gondo, Pawel Jaroszynski and Nadir Zortea, came on for Simy, Grigoris Kastanos, Franck Ribery, Luca Ranieri and Norbert Gyomber. Inter brought on Arturo Vidal, Federico Dimarco, Lautaro Martinez, Roberto Gagliardini and Aleksandar Kolarov, to replace Nicolo Barella, Alessandro Bastoni, Alexis Sanchez, Marcelo Brozovic and Ivan Perisic.
There were bookings for Norbert Gyomber from Salernitana, and Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu, for Inter.
Salernitana will next travel to Udinese, while Inter will face Torino at home.
