Bayern Munich ease to a comfortable 4-0 win at the Allianz Arena. Bayern were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run after winning their previous two matches against Stuttgart away and Mainz at home, by 5-0 and 2-1 respectively while Wolfsburg were beaten 3-2 in the previous match against FC Köln. As things stand, Bayern are in 1st place, with 43 points from 17 matches, while Wolfsburg sit in 12th, with 20 points from 17.
Bayern started the first half well, with Thomas Muller opening the rout after only 7 minutes to see out the first half 1-0.
Bayern continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Dayot Upamecano finding the net in the 57th minute. The momentum was now with The Reds, who then scored again through a goal from Leroy Sane, 59 minutes in to establish a 3-0. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Robert Lewandowski just before the final whistle with a final score of 4-0.
For Bayern, Marcel Sabitzer, Bouna Sarr, Nianzou Tanguy Kouassi, Omar Richards and Malik Tillman, came on for Marc Roca, Serge Gnabry, Lucas Hernandez, Alphonso Davies and Benjamin Pavard. Wolfsburg brought on Felix Nmecha, Josuha Guilavogui and Kevin Mbabu, to replace Renato Steffen, Luca Waldschmidt and Aster Vranckx.
Bayern will play their next fixture at home against B Mönchengladbach, while Wolfsburg will face Bochum away.
