Napoli strolled past Lazio with a 4-0 win on Sunday at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. Both Napoli and Lazio arrived at the match from previous defeats in the league. Napoli were looking forward to meeting again after losing 3-2 to Internazionale in their last match. Lazio, on the other hand, lost 2-0 in the last match they played against Juventus. Following today's result, Napoli are in 1st place, with 35 points from 14 matches, while Lazio sit in 8th, with 21 points from 14.

Napoli didn't take long to get on the score-sheet, with Piotr Zielinski opening the rout after only 7 minutes. The momentum was now with Gli Azzurri, who then scored again through a goal from Dries Mertens at the 10 minute mark to establish a 2-0. Napoli then scored again and increased their lead thanks to a second effort from Dries Mertens at the 29 minute mark to see out the first half 3-0.
