Barca take the points and enjoy a home win against Valencia

Barcelona beat Valencia with a thumping 3-1 victory on Sunday at the Nou Camp. Barca arrived at the game looking pick up points, following a previous defeat to Atletico Madrid. Valencia, on the other hand, had managed to pick up a single point in their encounter with Cádiz. Following today's result, Barca are in 7th place on the table and has 15 points while Valencia sit in 9th with 12 points after 9 matches.

The Bats started the first half well, thanks to an early goal from Jose Luis Gaya in the 5th minute. However, they were unable to maintain their lead, Ansu Fati managed to equalize and take the sides off at the 13 minute mark at 1-1. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a penalty goal from Memphis Depay just before half-time. The score at half time was 2-1.

Los Blaugranas continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Philippe Coutinho finding the net just before the final whistle. The game ended 3-1 to Barca.

For Barca, Philippe Coutinho, Nicolas Gonzalez, Óscar Mingueza and Sergio Aguero, came on for Ansu Fati, Gavi, Sergi Roberto and Sergino Dest. Valencia brought on Marcos De Sousa, Denis Cheryshev, Yunus Musah, Helder Costa and Manu Vallejo, to replace Hugo Duro, Goncalo Guedes, Dimitri Foulquier, Maxi Gomez and Hugo Guillamon.

There were bookings for Gavi and Sergio Busquets from Barca, and Jose Luis Gaya, Dimitri Foulquier and Maxi Gomez, for Valencia.

Barca next face R Madrid and Valencia are at home to Mallorca.
