Parma on away loss to Verona at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi on Monday. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Hellas Verona were looking forward to meeting again, following a previous defeat to Udinese while Parma lost 3-0 in the last match they played against Bologna. After today's result, Hellas Verona are in 9th place on the table and has 33 points while Parma sit in 19th with 13 points after 22 matches.

Parma dominated the first half, beginning with Juraj Kucka opening the scoring in the 8th minute. However, they didn't maintain the lead for long though, an equalizer from a Alberto Grassi, 13 minutes in brought Hellas Verona level, to take a 1-1 lead into half time.

Hellas Verona continued to apply pressure the second half, following Antonin Barak opening the scoring in the 61st minute, sealing a resounding 2-1 victory for the home side.

For Verona, Daniel Bessa, Giangiacomo Magnani and Miguel Veloso came on for Andreas Cornelius, Alberto Grassi, Yann Karamoh, Yordan Osorio and Andrea Conti, while Parma brought on Joshua Zirkzee, Simon Sohm, Valentin Mihaila, Giuseppe Pezzella and Dennis Man to replace Andreas Cornelius, Alberto Grassi, Yann Karamoh, Yordan Osorio and Andrea Conti.

There were bookings for Marco Silvestri, Federico Dimarco, Koray Gunter and Matteo Lovato from Verona and Andreas Cornelius and Valentin Mihaila for Parma.

Hellas Verona will next play Genoa away, with Parma facing Udinese at home.
