(Bloomberg) -- Parler LLC fired back at Amazon.com Inc. for effectively booting it offline, saying the e-commerce giant’s web service provider has presented only speculation and not proof that the conservative social media site was used to incite last week’s riot at the U.S. Capitol.
“AWS has confirmed that none of the arrested participants in that unconscionable attack (who had been publicly identified as of the filing of this action) even had a Parler account, much less used it to incite, organize or coordinate’ the attack,” Parler said in a court filing Wednesday.
Parler said it was blindsided by Amazon Web Services’ decision to suspend web-hosting for the social network, which has touted itself as an alternative to Twitter.
