ISF World School Taekwondo Championship 2023: a global celebration of young talent in Mexico

The International School Sport Federation (ISF) has proudly announced the launch of the ISF World School Taekwondo Championship 2023, scheduled to take place in Mazatlán, Mexico from June 18 to June 25.

This prestigious event promises to bring together the crème de la crème of young taekwondo athletes, drawing school teams from over 14 countries including China, Brazil, Ukraine, Luxembourg, and Morocco. Organized in collaboration with FEMEDEES, the event is not only a platform for high-level competition but also serves as a venue for cultural exchange and educational initiatives.

“It is more than just a championship; it’s an unforgettable experience for participants and spectators alike,” an ISF spokesperson stated. The championship week will see fierce competition from talented young athletes across the globe, making it a highlight on the international school sports calendar.

The ISF President, Laurent Petrynka, expressed his pride in the continuity of this tradition. “We are proud to continue this long-standing tradition of gathering some of the greatest Taekwondo athletes from all over the world together under the mantle of school sport,” he said.
