Brazil-Rio de Janeiro, ISF Family gathered in Rio de Janeiro for the inspection visit and final preparations for this extraordinary event.
An opportunity for the ISF delegation including ISF President Mr. Laurent Petrynka, ISF Delegate for The U15 Gymnasiade Mr. Youssef Belqasmi, CBDE President Mr. Antônio Hora Filho, ISF and CBDE General Secretaries and 20 Technical Presidents, with their counter parts Colleagues from CBDE to visit and finalize all details related to the venues, accommodations, logistics , safety and sports and educational programs.
A high level meeting was scheduled during the visit with the Governor of the State of Rio de Janeiro ‘’We are very pleased to host an event that involves several countries. It is yet another demonstration that the state of Rio has consolidated its potential and credibility to host major sports events. We are strengthening an important chain in the state, which, besides leveraging the segment, moves tourism and our economy ‘’. Said the Governor, Claudio Castro.
‘’We are also aware of how powerful and of a great benefit Physical Education and Sport can be while conveying significant educational values. Therefore, at ISF, we strongly believe that education through sport can make a change and prepare a better world for our future generations. Each day, ISF is growing to ensure a strong and a qualitative support to the LOCs in organising jointly the best school sport events. We are expecting an amazing edition of U15 edition of Gymnasiade where school athletes from around the world will compete in 22 sports!
We are here, ISF, CBDE and ISF Technical Presidents, to work together to deliver the best experience for every athlete participating. Competitions will take place at the Olympic venues of Rio Olympics 2016 and this is the key moment and experience for every student, athlete and coach.
