This year will be the first time for the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee to open their hospitality house for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics online, starting on 15 July.

The Team Korea House has brought a piece of Korea to international competitions since Athens 2004 Olympics. Serving as a home away from home for athletes and as a promotion for Korean culture, the Team Korea House has been at the heart of Olympic and Asian Games.

The online version of the Team Korea House features as a Virtual Reality museum featuring fourteen Korean Olympic heroes along with contents covering Korean culture, sports, and tourism. The travel section brings visitors to over hundred different travel destinations while fans of K-Pop and Korean culture shall be rewarded with VR content. People will also be able to learn about the relation between the two Koreas as well as the upcoming 2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympic Games.

It also serves as a home for people to support the Korean athletes by writing messages and participate in numerous events throughout the Olympic Games.

Kee Heung Lee, President of the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee said, “This is the first time that Team Korea is able to invite the entire world to its virtual Team Korea House. We have prepared a unique experience that will immerse everyone using the latest technology. I look forward to receiving the international sports community at our Virtual Team Korea House.”

People from around the world are invited to visit the Team Korea House metaverse at teamkoreahouse.com.
