The website for the 2015 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships A -Pool in Buffalo, USA, was launched on Tuesday (16 September) alongside a brand new website for the sport itself.
The website is available at www.buffalo2015.com.
Buffalo 2015 will mark the third time the Championships is held in the USA and comes after the US team became the first in history to win back-to-back Paralympic golds at the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games.
Joining them at the HARBORCENTER in Buffalo, New York, will be Sochi 2014 runners-up Russia, defending world champions and Sochi 2014 bronze medallists Canada, Czech Republic, Norway, Italy, Germany and Japan.
The sport made history at Sochi 2014, as NBC showed the gold medal game between USA and Russia live for the first time in history.
Meanwhile, the new www.ipc-icesledgehockey.org design, also launched on the mobile version of the website. It still features the latest news, events, results and rankings, and gives the sport a bolder digital identity to better showcase its international athletes and brand.
Earlier on in 2014, a new IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Series was announced which aims to bring together matches that currently take place between countries as well incorporate new fixtures, in order to formalise the competition calendar after the huge success of ice sledge hockey at Sochi 2014.
Media accreditation and tickets for Buffalo 2015 will be available shortly.
