TOKYO, JAPAN (Nov. 28, 2018) – World Taekwondo, the Taekwondo Humanitarian Foundation (THF) and International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote humanitarian and peace-and development activities.
The agreement was signed by World Taekwondo President Chungwon Choue and ITTF President Thomas Weikert in the presence of IOC President Thomas Bach on the sidelines of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) General Assembly on Nov. 28 in Tokyo, Japan.
Under the agreement, the three organizations will develop close cooperation in the following areas:

--Exchanging and sharing of expertise, know-how, information and publications
World Taekwondo President and THF Chairman, Chungwon Choue, said:
"The landmark agreement is another example of World Taekwondo’s commitment to contributing to a more peaceful future. As we all know, sport is a very powerful in reaching people and making a real difference in the lives of those that need it most. This newly created network of information will only enhance our understanding of the needs of many, whilst also bringing the three organizations closer together. Often you have to realize that some things are more important than what happens on the mat, because peace is more precious than triumph!"
