(ATR) The third and final Rio 2016 Press Operations Briefing will take place in Rio de Janeiro from Oct. 5-8.

It is the final chance for domestic and international press to meet with Rio 2016 organizers for one-on-one meetings to prepare for Games operations in less than a year’s time. A spokesperson from Rio 2016 told Around the Ringsthat 365 media representatives will be attending the final briefing.

Rio 2016 will treat media professionals to a presentation of how the functional areas will be set up for the Games, and a venue tour to see the current state of construction before breaking into smaller meetings.

Small meetings offered by Rio 2016 will be for national Olympic committee press attaches, photographers, as well as ENRs from the IOC media office.

The briefing for press comes a month after the world’s broadcasters went to Rio de Janeiro to receive an update on the International Broadcast Center and other operations plans.

This will be the first time since October 2013 that the world press corps will be able to engage Rio 2016 leaders. At the last edition, over 150 representatives traveled to Rio.

Rio organizers have 10 months to finalize preparations for the largest sporting event on earth, with many venue completion dates still to come. City officials say that all venues are on time and on budget, as venues continue to be opened.
