Last Chance to Vote in Sports City Poll 2016

Voting in the annual Around the Rings and TSE Consulting "Sports City Poll 2016" is still open.

The annual poll started in 2012 aims to rank "cities [which] are perceived to have the strongest association with sport". Respondents choose who they feel meets this criteria from a list of 50 cities. The public vote is then combined with an industry-weighted vote to produce the results. "In its fifth year, the Sport City Poll is a great indicator to get the public and sports experts opinions on the efforts made by cities to position themselves as top sport destinations," Lars Haue-Pedersen, Managing Director, TSE Consulting, said in a statement. "This was a great year, and we look forward to see which city will take the top spot."

The poll closes on Wednesday, Dec. 14. The results will be available Dec. 19 through the ATR website and TSE Consulting.

ATR Editor Ed Hula says the poll shows world cities what "kind of impact they have made on the public and the sport world" over the past year. As sport tourism continues to grow, cities continue to compete for the title of top destination.
