(ATR) Online voting is open to choose the official emblem of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games – an Olympic first.

The general public across Italy, and around the world, have the chance to vote for one of two designated logos via milanocortina2026.org or the Milano Cortina 2026 App. Dedicated social media channels proclaim: "Let’s Make History Together."

Two final logos were unveiled by Milano Cortina 2026 ambassadors Alberto Tomba and Federica Pellegrini on stage at this past weekend’s San Remo Italian Song Festival, broadcast by the Italian network RAI.

After two weeks of public voting, on March 24, the winning logo will be revealed on the Italian television program "I Soliti Ignoti", dedicated to Italy’s 2026 Olympic Winter and Paralympic Games.

"The trip continues – a historic solution to choose the logo of an Olympic Games," Italian Olympic Committee president Giovanni Malago tells Around the Rings. "I’m very happy about this fantastic idea that gives all our fans the opportunity to decide our logo."

On the San Remo program, Pellegrini, a 200m freestyle swimming gold medalist in Beijing 2008 and four-time Olympian, unveiled the "Dado" logo, while Tomba, the flamboyant skiing legend and three-time Olympic champion, presented the "Futura" logo.

Both Tomba and Pellegrini joined in a call to sports fans and potential voters: "Let’s all support the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, a unique opportunity especially in this difficult moment.

"They will show the excellence of our Country to the world. And the world will join us in the celebration of the Olympic and Paralympic values".

According to Milano Cortina 2026, the unprecedented online public vote is "a demonstration of its firm commitment to be people-centric and of the endeavor to engage the world in Milano Cortina 2026 over the next five years."

The two emblems, "Dado" and "Futura", are not intended to oppose one another and do not reflect conflicting concepts. Rather, they both contribute to define an Olympic Games to benefit everyone and show strength together.

Both logos are designed to showcase sport values, solidarity and sustainability – the cornerstones of the Milano Cortina 2026 Games.

The idea behind "Dado" is a call to action for people to actively become protagonists of Italy’s Olympic Winter Games. The creative and colorful design aims to go beyond sporting dimensions, creating a magic box capable of generating countless interactive engagement.

The concept of "Futura" is that the smallest and most natural of gestures can change the world. In sport and in life, great victories are achieved day-by-day, gesture-by-gesture and the Olympics and Paralympics are a unique opportunity to leave a lasting and beautiful mark. The future of Milano Cortina 2026 is a victory for all.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Emblem is under development, in cooperation with the International Paralympic Committee on its final design. Plans are in the works to reveal the Paralympic Emblem at a suitably high profile event.
