(ATR) The emblems for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be unveiled in the second half of next year.
The Beijing Organizing Committee revealed the timeline during a design forum in the Chinese capital on Monday, according to the Xinhua News Agency.
It’s been two months since a worldwide campaign was launched to seek designs for the Beijing Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games logos. The Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee has set up a special emblem collection office and will accept submissions online from Nov. 20 to Nov. 30.
After that, the emblem judges will carry out the qualification examination of the application scheme, and select 10 finalists through the initial evaluation and re-evaluation.
A selection panel will pick 10 candidate designs from the applications received. The Organizing Committee will then choose a winning entry and two back-up designs.
After undergoing global checks for any problems such as intellectual property issues, the official emblems will then be unveiled in the latter half of 2017.
