(ATR) The newly re-branded SportsPro Fan Conference launches in London on Sept. 10.

SportsPro says the Fan Conference, which replaces the Brand Conference, will be taking a new look at the trends affecting sports marketing and sponsorship through the most important relationship the industry will ever have: the one with its fans.

Among the key themes for the conference will be the evolution of sponsorship in an age of engagement, how fans are disrupting traditional sports media, and the future of fan engagement.

Speakers includeStephen Day, Vice President of Sponsorship, Brand & Product Marketing for Visa, and Mary Byrne, Editor-in-Chief for the Olympic Channel.

Transfer Market Panel Named for Soccerex Europe

Soccerex confirms the panel for a timely discussion on the transfer market during Soccerex Europe.

Former Portugal international Deco will be joined by Dr. Erkut Sogut, the agent for Mesut Ozil, Esteve Calzada, CEO for Prime Time Sport, and Andrew Orsatti, communications director for FIFPro.

The re-introduction of player agent regulations by FIFA as well as the proposed introduction of loan restrictions aimed at preventing teams from stockpiling talent are likely to be part of the discussion.

"Football Changing Transfer Market" is just one of many cutting edge topics that will be addressed at the Soccerex event in Oeiras, Portugal on September 5-6.

Organizers say the program will cover everything from the rise of women’s football and expansion of major tournaments to the needs to the modern fan and the role of players as influencers.

Birmingham 2022 Features at Major Events Summit

The fifth annual Major Events Summit will be at the home of the 2022 Commonwealth Games next month.

Major Events International (MEI) is hosting the conference, described as the only multi games business of sport summit, at Villa Park in Birmingham, UK on June 26-27.

Preparations for the 2022 Games and the 2021 Rugby League World Cup, also being held in the UK, will be discussed.

MEI says the focus will also be on International Major Sports Events including the Pan American Games 2019 and 2023, Tokyo 2020, and wider sports events in Japan with coverage also on the new phenomenon of esports and trends in the Chinese market.

Limited to 150 attendees, including key procurement influencers and leading suppliers to the major sports events market, the highly interactive - "non-conference" format will give all participants the option to contribute.

The two-day event will consist of workshops, panels and round table discussions. Games organisers will outline plans and opportunities while suppliers share experiences and lessons learned.

VISTA 2019

The VISTA 2019 Conference will take place from September 4-7, 2019 in Amsterdam.

The ninth edition of the conference for sports scientists and experts in Para sport is organized through a partnership between the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and the Amsterdam Institute of Sport Science (AISS).

Next year’s theme is "Healthy and Fit for Optimal Performance". Around 300 of the world’s leading sports scientists, sport medicine practitioners, classifiers, coaches, athletes and sport administrators are expected to attend the conference.

VISTA is designed to promote and advance the mission, goals, objectives and reputation of the IPC while providing a platform for the academic world to meet with athletes and professional experts in the field of sport for athletes with an impairment.
