(ATR) The one day LawAccord program will be held in conjunction with SportAccord Convention once again next year.
The program will be led by LawAccord Chair Stephen Townlet and International Council of Arbitration for Sport (ICAS) president Michael Lenard.
"Here at SportAccord Convention, we have all the international federations present and they are an important stakeholder, like the NOCs, like the IOC, and like the athletes. So for us, it’s a prime moment to have conversations with them and provide education to them," Townlet said in a statement.
Townlet goes on to describe the LawAccord program as something sport stakeholders, cities and legal teams would not want to miss.
During LawAccord, delegates will also hear the latest updates from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
Additionally, topics including analyzing host city agreements, challenges with hosting major events, anti-corruption regimes and anti-doping programs will be discussed in sessions held throughout the day.
SportAccord Convention's 16th edition is set to take place from April 15-20, 2018 in Bangkok.
