(ATR) Visa, Partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, has released its roster of athletes representing Team Visa in Tokyo next year.

With more than 70 athletes participating in more than 30 disciplines , Team Visa Tokyo 2020 has one of the largest in teams Visa history.

Visa selects athletes who represent the company’s brand values that include gender equality, social impact and more.

The Team Visa Tokyo 2020 roster includes Simone Biles (Gymnastics, USA) , Daniel Dias (Para Swimming, Brazil) along with Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls such as Poppy Starr Olsen (Skateboarding, Australia).

Japanese-American surfer Kanoa Igarashi is the first from the sport to join Team Visa. In an ATRadio podcast, he talks about the sport and what it will mean for him to compete in Tokyo.

"Our Team Visa Tokyo 2020 roster reflects The Games themselves: globally diverse, representative of new emerging sports and larger than ever. We are proud to reveal this year’s Team Visa roster and support these athletes as go for Gold in Tokyo."said Chris Curtin, chief brand and innovation marketing officer.

Since its establishment in 2000, five hundred athletes have represented Team Visa throughout the course of the Games.
