Shooting Federation Establishes Quotas for Tokyo 2020

Munich (GER), 20 March 2018 - The ISSF Headquarter informed all ISSF Member Federations that the IOC - in its recent Executive Board meeting - approved the Quota Rules for Tokyo 2020.

The 52nd World Championships in all events - to be held in Changwon (KOR) from the 31st of August to the 15th September 2018 - will be the start of the Qualification Timeline for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. 48 individual Olympic quotas and 12 mixed team Olympic quotas will be assigned there.

A total of 360 quotas for the 15 Olympic shooting events will be distributed between the 1st of September 2018 and the 30th of April 2020, at the 2018 ISSF World Championship, 2019 ISSF World Cup stages, and designated Continental Championship or Games in 2018, 2019 and 2020.

The complete qualification system, including the number of quotas per event, the Minimum Qualification Scores (MQS) and the list of Olympic qualifier competitions is published on the ISSF website at the "ISSF Rules Amendments and Interpretation" section.
