(ATR) Before every Olympic Games, the USOC hosts a summit so that athletes, National Governing Bodies, the USOC and others can meet and discuss issues.

This year's USOC Olympic and Paralympic Assembly was held at the Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs. Beautiful weather and scenery tempted attendees to linger outdoors.

The 2017 assembly featured talks about preparations for the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics and Paralympics next February and March and the potential for the U.S. to bid for the 2026 Winter Games. Leaders of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics also attended the assembly.

Around the Rings was on the scene for the biannual event. Here are some photos from the Board of Directors news conference, an evening reception and - of course - an awards dinner.
