(ATR)In the wake of one-year-to-go celebrations in Rio de Janeiro, the 2016 Summer Olympics continue to dominate conversations in the international sports world.
In this Sunday edition of ATRadio, Around the Rings features interviews with sports experts and Rio Mayor Eduardo Paes, highlighting the road ahead for Rio.
Also on the IOC's radar this past week were preparations for the 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games.
Leandro Larrosa, chief executive of Buenos Aires 2018, his fellow organizers and city leaders met with the IOC Coordination Commission for the 2018 YOG in the Argentine capital Aug. 13-14.
The roster of members on the commission is led by IOC member Frank Fredericks. Last month, Larrosa spoke with ATR editor Ed Hula about the road ahead for Buenos Aires 2018.
Coming up this week,ATRadio will feature an interview with Carl Hester, a member of Great Britain's 2012 Olympic dressage team.Hester is celebrating a team silver won at the International Equestrian Federation's 2015 European Championships.
The championships conclude in Aachen, Germanyon Aug. 23.
