(ATR) South Korea and Olympic broadcasters are aiming to boost awareness of the upcoming Winter Olympics with more television time.
The international broadcast promotion for the Winter Olympic Games begins March 7 by the official United States broadcaster for PyeongChang 2018, NBC.
Promotional video clips from the network will range from 30 seconds to one minute and be displayed once a week on three NBC programs - The Today Show, NBC Morning News and Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Along with its promotion of PyeongChang, NBC has also agreed to broadcast 750 hours of FIS World Cup coverage including the most recent PyeongChang Olympic test event - the FIS Alpine World Cup.
European broadcaster Eurosport is also increasing its PyeongChang 2018 promotions and advertisements to expand brand awareness in the region.
The Korea tourism organization dubbed 'Imagine your Korea' has created separate public ads for the Games. The ad "Draw Your Winter Story in PyeongChang" was released last month and already has 17 million views on YouTube. The ad features drawings of the scenery of the future Olympic city and athletes competing in winter sports.
The PyeongChang 2018 Winter Games will run from Feb. 9-25.
