(ATR) The countdown to the Rio Olympics is on!

With the Rio Games now officially one month away, organizers are ramping up preparations around the city to give it more of an "Olympic" feel while continuing to deal with staunch media criticism over the political and economic situations in Brazil, the water quality and the Zika virus.

Rio Mayor Eduardo Paes held a press conference Tuesday morning along with Rio 2016 chief Carlos Nuzman to respond to those criticisms and offer assurances the Games will be a success.

Around the RingsRio correspondent Aaron Bauer was on the scene for this morning's briefing and says what was supposed to be a presser about the one month to go preparations turned into an all-out attack on the media by Mayor Paes.
