The South American Beach Games Rosario 2019 marks the birth of ODESURtv, the online television channel with which the South American Sports Organization (ODESUR), will promote sports and athletes to be at the forefront in the dissemination of Olympism in the region.

With studios in Santiago de Chile , ODESURtv is now available on the ODESUR digital platform with a program aimed at sports fans and those who are not yet.

The launch of the streaming television channel is another step ODESUR takes towards the promotion of Olympism as a tool for the construction of a better world, within the framework of the Agenda 2020 of reforms promoted by the International Olympic Committee.

The success of this strategy has been shown in the strong interest expressed by several South American cities to organize multi-sport events of ODESUR, which led the organization to anticipate to this year the start of the bidding process for the South American Beach Games of 2023 and the absolute South American Games of 2026.

The Rosario Beach Games 2019, which have just started in the Argentine city of Rosario mark a turning point in the paradigm of aquatic competitions.

It is the first time that an event of this kind takes place in a river environment and with all its temporary structures.

"We are opening the doors so that more South American cities can aspire to be the scene of competitions that leave an enormous legacy for their inhabitants", said Camilo Pérez López Moreira, who was recently relected as president of ODESUR for the period 2019-2023.

The flexibility paradigm of the ODESUR Games has allowed Rosario to host 12 of the 13 competing sports in a single venue, the beach of La Florida.

Nearly 800 South American athletes,50 percent more than in the previous edition, will inspire the region between March 14 and 23 from the Argentine city that in two years will once again be the scene of another historic event: the 2021 South American Youth Games.

ODESURtv will broadcast 73 hours of content from Rosario 2019.Eight live sports will be broadcasted and the remaining five will be deferred.
