(ATR) The Tokyo Organizing Committee on Tuesday unveiled its new official website, 1,626 days before the opening ceremony of the 2020 Olympic Games.

The Committee says the website will become the primary platform for everyone interested in the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

While the look and color scheme largely remain the same, the site has been re-engineered to make it more user-friendly. Organizers say it will deliver more information about the preparations for the 2020 Games, the Olympic and Paralympic Movements as well as the sports and venues.

It will be available in three languages – French, English and Japanese – and also is being optimized for a wide range of impairments while offering universally-accessible contents.

The new website will allow users to directly interact with others on social media including a new ‘Get Involved’ section to engage people from across Japan and the world.

No Decision on Tokyo 2020 Logo

The new website is up and running but there is still no decision on a logo for Tokyo 2020. Around the Rings has learned that the 10th meeting of the Emblem Selection Committee took place on Tuesday with no progress made in determining how the winning logo will be chosen.

The final four choices for the logo will be published on the Tokyo 2020 website once the application process is completed. The committee will accept public feedback on each of the four candidates but has yet to determine the procedure for choosing a winner.

Committee chairman Ryohei Miyata did say "I would like to consider the mechanism of vote to not be a simple popular vote."

The previous emblems were scrapped in September following allegations of plagiarism as Kenjiro Sano’s design closely resembled the logo of a Belgian theater.
