(ATR) The Leaders Sport Business Summit will have a new home for 2019.
Leaders announced on Thursday it will be moving its flagship conference to Twickenham Stadium, London, the home of England Rugby.
The summit has outgrown Chelsea Football Club's Stamford Bridge, where it has been held since 2008.
"Over the last 11 years, we’ve seen the event grow from 600 attendees to over 2000," said Leaders Founder and CEO, James Worrall."Stamford Bridge has been our home since the start and we can’t thank the Chairman, Bruce Buck and their incredible events team, enough for their support during that time. But with Chelsea advancing their renovation plans for Stamford Bridge and a need to take Leaders to the next level, we’ve taken the bold step to relocate to Twickenham. The move will not only support the events continued growth but also allow us to test new concepts and formats which we feel is needed to stay ahead of the curve."
The announcement was made as the 2018 edition was wrapping up. This year's event featured more than 100 speakers, including Claire Cronin, chief marketing officer of Virgin Atlantic, Inter MIlan chief executive officer Alessandro Antonello, and Amazon Prime Video's European marketing director Alex Green.
SPORTELMonaco the Backdrop for the 2019 SPORTEL Awards
The "Golden Podium Awards" will honor the year’s best sports images and best illustrated sports books at SPORTELMonaco on October 23.
A jury of sports and media personalities will be voting for the images in competition. Linford Christie - Olympic, Commonwealth, World and European champion in the 100 meters - is the president of the jury.
Monaco’s Grimaldi Forum will host the 29th edition of the awards.
SPORTELMonaco is one of the leading sports business conventions, with more than 3,045 attendees and 1,000 companies participating last year. Europe makes up more than two-thirds of the event, while North America and Asia largely fill out the rest.
Media and broadcast companies provide the bulk of contributors, while leagues, federations, and marketing firms also attend. The convention runs from October 22 to 24.
Registration is Open for SportAccord 2019
Registration is now open for the 17th edition of SportAccord, to be held from May 5-10, 2019 in Gold Coast, Australia.
The World Sport and Business Summit will host over 50 conference sessions with around 100 international speakers and panellists taking part. The five conference streams include: The Summit, CityAccord, LawAccord, MediaAccord, and HealthAccord.

Peace and Sport Visits Mediterranean Region
On October 18 the island of Rhodes will host 350 speakers from the Mediterranean region to create positive change through sport.
Confirmed speakers for the conference include George Hatzimarkos, Governor of the region of South Aegean, Joël Bouzou, Peace and Sport’s President and Founder, and Christian Karembeu, Champions for Peace for Peace and Sport.
Sitting between three continents, the forum hopes to improve international cooperation for the region. Over 90 percent of attendees come from Asia, Africa and Europe.
The 11th edition of the forum is titled "Societies in motion: Rising up through sport". A roundtable will discuss how cities can promote inclusion.

IF Forum
GAISF members will meet in Lausanne from November 5 to 7 for the 12th IF Forum.
SportAccord, which organizes the IF Forum with support from the IOC, recently addedEurosport, JLT andSports Nevada USA as partners.
The 2018 headline is Open Doors and Open Minds - New Tools for IFs. The Forum will provide attendees with new technological strategies to predict trends.
Sessions bring in experts on cryptocurrencies, 5G networks, and ticket pricing models. All topics emphasize taking advantage of the latest technology to increase media and market participation.
GAISF is also hosting an esports workshop during the event and an update on the effect of GDPR compliance.
New Format for Host City 2018
Host City 2018 reveals an interactive agenda featuring novel formats such as talk shows, debates, live voting and storytelling.
The new format is designed to boost engagement, outcomes and learning for delegates.
The largest meeting of cities and sports, business and cultural events, Host City 2018 will be held in Glasgow, Scotland on November 20-21. The title for this year is "The Future of Major Events".
David Luckes, Head of Summer Sports and IF Relations, International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Niels Nygaard, President, National Olympic Committee and Sports Confederation of Denmark and Vice President, European Olympic Committees, are among the latest speakers to be added to a lineup that includesFrancesco Ricci Bitti, President of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF); Jean-Francois Martins, Deputy Paris Mayor in charge of Tourism, Sports and the Olympic and Paralympic Games; and Nadja Burkhardt, EBU Event Supervisor, Eurovision Song Contest.
