(ATR) Olympic TOP sponsor McDonald’s could be delivering its hamburgers across the globe in 2018.

According to a report from Business Insider, approximately 200 of the fast food giant’s chains in Florida will begin delivering food to customers doorsteps at the beginning of 2017. Residents in the cities of Orlando, Tampa and Miami will be the first to receive the trial service.

Customers will also be able to create mobile orders for pickup.

McDonald’s is partnering with UberEATS to provide the new service to its customers. If the trial partnership is a success, McDonald’s could expand its mobile ordering to its primary markets such as the U.S., Australia, Canada, France and the U.K. in 2018.

United States Olympic Channel Provides Future Model

The creation of a United States Olympic television channel is the newest development in the evolution of the IOC’s Olympic Channel.

On Dec. 15, the IOC, United States Olympic Committee, and NBC announced the creation of an Olympic television broadcast channel available along with NBC Universal. The channel will initially be available on AT&T and DirecTV in the United States.

Timo Lumme, Managing Director, IOC Television and Marketing Services told Around the Rings the channel idea was part of recent IOC-negotiated rights deals, including NBC. Lumme said the decision to create a broadcast channel in the United States was a "collaborative discussion" that serves as a model going forward.

"We believe, and have heard this from our broadcasters, that they see value in the concept of the Olympic Channel," Lumme said. "It is an additional discussion that is part of the rights negotiations."

WFDF Renews Merchandise Sponsor

Apparel for the World Flying Disc Federation’s continental and world championships will continue to be made by VC Ultimate.

The federation announced that it extended the existing sponsorship agreement through the 2017-18 season. VC Ultimate will provide apparel to eight competitions over the next two years, and will work to produce WFDF apparel in the United States, Canada, and Europe.

Competitors who partner with VC Ultimate will receive discounts on competition uniforms, design services, and priority production.

"We feel that this partnership provides benefits to all three separate audiences within the disc community: teams/players, tournament organizers and WFDF," Robert "Nob" Rauch, WFDF President, said in a statement. "We are excited by the prospects for continuing to receive creative help in developing and promoting the WFDF brand and our merchandise line."

Olympic Channel Scores With FIFA Agreement

In the sports world, it’s the equivalent of signing a star player to your team.

The Olympic Channel has reached an agreement with FIFA that will increase coverage of the world’s most popular sport on the website.

The deal with FIFA covers news access and content licenses that will allow the Olympic Channel to promote football within the Olympic Movement.

FIFA is the latest and arguably biggest addition to a roster of 36 International Sports Federations and IOC Recognized Sports Federations who have signed similar agreements.
