(ATR) The Los Angeles Olympic bid is providing an in-depth look at each of its venue complexes as the International Olympic Committee evaluation visit nears.

Los Angeles 2024 tells Around the Rings that its vast network of permanent venues allows the bid to showcase how its venues would look during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

"We are making preparations to welcome the IOC's Evaluation Commission in May and in particular looking forward to the venue tour," an LA 2024 spokesperson tells ATR. "As LA does not need to build any permanent new venues, the Evaluation Commission can see in real life how the Games will be presented and the Athletes will be hosted."

LA 2024 released its first set of new renderings on April 20 containing 11 venues from the iconic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and Staples Center to the Media Village and Main Press Center at the University of Southern California. The 11 venues comprise one of four venue complexes known as the Downtown Sports Park.

The renderings are being shared across all of LA 2024’s social media platforms throughout the two-week period leading up to the IOC Evaluation Commission visit May 10-12. The extensive promotion campaign is one of the first of its kind in Olympic bidding and an opportunity afforded by the rise of mobile technology and digital media.

"Everyday LA 2024 will release new renderings that showcase our four Sports Parks, with each venue selected to deliver a high-tech, celebratory, athlete-centered experience for every participant, and minimize financial and operational risk," LA 2024 tells ATR.

The renderings will also be some of the first to showcase Paralympic sport taking place in the venues. LA 2024 director of Paralympic and disability engagement Candace Cable told ATR that the idea is a great step forward to increase the prominence and awareness of Paralympic sport.

The bid adds that its existing slate of venues ensures there will be no surprises during the IOC visit or in the final delivery if Los Angeles is awarded the host city contract this September in Lima, Peru. Los Angeles is competing with Paris to stage the 2024 edition of the Games.

"Unlike other cities, the bid LA 2024 delivered in February will be the Games delivered in 2024," the LA 2024 spokesperson said.

The IOC Evaluation Commission will travel straight from Los Angeles to Paris to inspect their venues and Games delivery plans. The Paris 2024 evaluation visit will take place from May 14-16.

The IOC will choose the host city of the 2024 Summer Games at its IOC Session in Lima, Peru on Sep. 13.
