(ATR) It is all business this week in Lausanne, as 22 IOC Commissions meet in the Olympic city.

The Commission program began on Sunday with Olympic Solidarity, Digital and Technology, Olympic Channel, and Sport and Active Society.

Though all the meetings are closed, the IOC did reveal that the Sport and Active Society Commission had handed out development grants to three NGOs.

Skateistan, Help Age International Tanzania, and Pro Sport Development each received $25,000 from the Commission.

Skateistan, which began in Kabul, Afghanistan in 2008, inspires and empowers young people, especially girls, aged five to 17 through skateboarding and education, according to the IOC. The IOC grant will enable Skateistan to expand its core programs.

Help Age International Tanzania is part of a global network of organizations promoting the rights, well-being and inclusion of older people. The Tanzania group will use the IOC grant to strengthen its collaboration with and support for the Active Ageing Clubs promoting healthy ageing through inter-generational physical exercise.

Pro Sport Development develops and implements a variety of sports and sports-based programs for young marginalized and underprivileged Indians. The development grant will help PSD expand its Community Sports Programme in Eastern India.

The program for Monday included meetings by four more IOC Commissions: IOC and Television Marketing Services, Public Affairs and Social Development through Sport, Ethics, and Marketing.

Four more commissions are on the docket for Tuesday: the Treasury Committee, Sustainability and Legacy, HR Committee, and Olympic Channel Services.

CK Wu, the suspended president of the international boxing federation (AIBA), is scheduled to chair the Culture and Olympic Heritage Commission on Wednesday. Two other commissions - Communications and Legal Affairs – are also meeting Wednesday. While Wu is suspended by the federation, his IOC membership is not affected so far.

Four commissions are on tap for Thursday: Olympic Sports Data, Women in Sport, Athletes’ Entourage, and Olympic Broadcasting Services.

On Friday, the week will wrap up with three commissions meeting: Medical and Scientific, Olympic Education, and Athletes.
