(ATR) The International Hockey Federation will be electing its next president on Saturday.
Delegates will choose between David Balbirnie, Narinder Batra and Ken Read to lead the federation for the next four years.
Balbirnie is a formerEuropean Hockey Federation general secretary, Batra is the president of Hockey India and Read isthe FIH Competitions Committee chairman.
FIH president Leandro Negre has led the federation since 2008.
The election is part of the 45th FIH Congress, which comes at the conclusion of a conference this week in Dubai that featured part two of ‘Hockey Revolution’ program.
The Hockey Revolution initiative is a 10-year strategy launched in October 2014 to raise the global status of field hockey.

World Sailing Electing Next President
The World Sailing federation will be electing its next president on Sunday in Barcelona at the conclusion of a week-long annual conference.
Current president Carlo Croce of Italy is seeking reelection for his second and final four-year term at the helm of the federation. He is challenged by former International Sailing Association (now World Sailing) president Paul Henderson of Canada and former World Sailing Council member Kim Andersen of Denmark.
Seven vice presidents will be chosen along with the new president. Each of the candidates has earned the endorsement of at least five World Sailing National Federations.
