(ATR) Add Ukraine to the list of countries interested in hosting one of the next two available Olympics.

"We are looking at 2030 and 2032," Vadym Hutsait, Ukraine’s Minister of Youth and Sports, told media outlet Suspilne Sport. "We believe in 10 years we will have development in the country, and we will be able to hold the Olympic Games."

"We are assessing where it will be held in Ukraine, how much it will cost. We are looking more at the Winter Olympics," Hutsait said, adding that there is also discussion about hosting the Youth Olympic Games since "the Olympics for adults is an ambitious goal".

Jack Ma Missing, Alibaba Olympics Pact Secure

(ATR) Alibaba Group founder Jack Ma may be missing from public view but is not in peril say reports from Asia.

The 54-year-old entrepreneur has not been seen since late October after speaking at a business forum in China where he delivered critical remarks about the country’s banking and finance policies.

His absence from public has been the source of speculation for a few weeks, but word from Asia says there is likely nothing sinister about his fate. CNBC reports that Ma has gone low key in a bid to smooth relations with the Chinese government.

ODESUR Changes Master Games Date for COVID

(ATR) The inaugural South American Master Games in Santiago, Chile has been postponed for the second time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The mega-event had already been rescheduled to March 10-21, 2021.

The president of the South American Sports Organization (ODESUR), Camilo Pérez López-Moreira, reported that the decision was adopted after analyzing a report from the Chilean Olympic Committee (COCH) and the Ministry of Sports of that country on the situation of the pandemic and its projection for the next few months.
