No cause of death has been announced for Jake Phelps , editor-in-chief of skateboarding magazine Thrasher, reports the New York Times.
Billboard reports Phelp's death was announced via Instagram by the founder's son Tony Vitello.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Phelps was "Famed among skateboarders and extreme sports fans for his daring stunts."
SF Gate highlights how passionate Phelps was about skateboarding, being seen frequently boarding around the city even after sustaining a head injury in 2017.
