Effet d’annonce ou vrai projet ? Sept ans après son échec dans la course aux Jeux d’été 2020, l’Espagne se remet à caresser un rêve olympique. Elle voit même double, avec une candidature aux Jeux d’hiver 2030 et une autre pour l’édition estivale en 2032.

Pour l’hiver, le CIO a levé les derniers doutes. L’organisation olympique a révélé la semaine passée à Lausanne les trois dossiers à l’étude pour l’édition 2030 : Salt Lake City aux Etats-Unis, Sapporo au Japon, plus une candidature espagnole étendue à toute la région des Pyrénées.

Les trois postulants ont débuté les discussions avec la nouvelle commission du CIO de futur hôte des Jeux d’hiver, présidée par le Roumain Octavian Morariu. Les Japonais semblent les plus pressés à avancer leurs pions. Le maire de Sapporo a fait le voyage vers Lausanne, la semaine passée, pour y rencontrer très officiellement Thomas Bach au siège de l’institution olympique.
