Les organisateurs japonais le pressentaient, mais ils n’en avaient sans doute pas pris la pleine mesure : préparer les Jeux de Tokyo en situation de crise sanitaire s’avère un casse-tête de tous les instants. A chaque nouveau tiroir ouvert, un problème imprévu se présente. Le sujet du moment le démontre. Il concerne le relais de la flamme olympique.

Selon une source supposée bien informée, citée par l’agence Kyodo News, le gouvernement japonais plancherait actuellement sur un nouveau plan pour l’organisation du parcours du flambeau à travers l’archipel. Il serait dicté par des précautions sanitaires. Avec une ligne de conduite imposée par le bon sens : éviter que le relais de la flamme ne se transforme en un foyer d’infection au coronavirus se déplaçant d’une préfecture à l’autre. Logique.
