FrancsJeux reports en francais that Russia wants to use music from Tchaikovsky to replace its banned anthem in Tokyo.

A moins de quatre mois de l’ouverture des Jeux de Tokyo, la Russie n’en est pas encore à compter ses troupes. La sélection ne lui appartient plus tout à fait. Elle devra s’y faire. Mais ses dirigeants sportifs semblent très préoccupés par un accessoire de l’habillage olympique : l’hymne.

A défaut de pouvoir faire jouer la version originale, interdite des Jeux de Tokyo, tout comme les couleurs et le drapeau du pays, la Russie se verrait bien voyager vers le Japon en emportant dans ses malles une composition musicale taillée pour marquer l’événement. Un hymne de substitution qui identifierait la Russie dès les premières notes. Et, au passage, apporterait aux médaillés leur dose d’émotion pendant les cérémonies du podium.

Leur dernière idée : un morceau de musique du compositeur Piotr Tchaïkovski. Grandiose.
