(ATR)Ingmar De Vos is taking his first steps as the newly elected president of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI).
The FEI elected Ingmar De Vos during its General Assembly meeting in Baku, Azerbaijan on Dec. 14.
De Vos speaks with Around the Rings about his road ahead as FEI president as well as the federation's response to the adoption of the Olympic Agenda 2020 framework.
The 51-year-old Belgian had served as secretary general of the FEI since May 2011. He takes over as FEI president for a four-year term and will be eligible for re-election for a maximum of three consecutive terms.
De Voshas nominated Sabrina Zeender, who is currently serving as the FEI’s director of governance and executive affairs, as interim secretary general.
