Leaders Sport Summit

The date and venue for the Leaders Sport Summit are Oct. 8 through 10 at Chelsea FC’s Stamford Bridge, as usual.

It'sexpected around 1,800 delegates will take part in this year’s five-conference frenzy, with more than half of travelling from outside the U.K.

"After an extensive consultation period with all delegates, we are delighted to confirm a three-day program for the Leaders Sports Summit from 8-10 October in 2013," said James Worrall, CEO.

"It will enable us to incorporate even more content into the program and thereby provide additional value for delegates while also ensuring people have the time to attend what is important to them. SportAccord

Kevin Roberts, CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi, and Alexander Zhukov, President of the Russian Olympic Committee, are the headline speakers for SportAccord Convention 2013.

Roberts and Zhukov join Dmitry Chernyshenko, Viacheslav Fetisov and Andy Miah on the roster of this year’s convention.

"There is a terrific buzz about sport and the business of sport in Russia and delegates are really going to feel that excitement when they’re networking at our event. The conference program on "The State of Our Industry" will feature many top leaders from sport and business," SportAccord Convention tells Around the Rings.

Sport for All

The 15th IOC World Conference on Sport for All will focus on partnerships, social benefits as well as sports facilities and public spaces.

The event will take place April 24 to 27 in the Miraflores district of Lima, Peru.

Speakers include IOC President Jacques Rogge, Timothy Armstrong, Penny Ballem, Mayor of Vancouver, IOC members, and many more.

"Sport for All is a movement promoting the Olympic ideal that sport is a human right for all individuals regardless of race, social class and gender," said Jose Quinones, President of the Peruvian Olympic Committee.

"It is an honor for the Peruvian National Olympic Committee to host the 15th IOC World Conference on Sport for All, which will bring together, recognized agents of social change to share with us their experiences and best practices aimed at promoting the culture of sport as a healthy and positive lifestyle."

Sportel Rio

Sportel will return to Rio de Janeiro this year for the Sportel Rio convention in 2013.

The conference will run March 11 to 13 at the convention hall at The Sofitel Copacabana.

Speakers and panels have yet to be announced, but 27 exhibitors have already reserved their slots.

IOC Session

The 125th IOC Session will take place in Buenos Aires from Sept. 4 through 12.

The IOC will decide the host city for the 2020 Olympics on Sept. 7 as well as the next IOC president on Sept. 10.

The 2020 sports program will also be finalized at the Session.
