(ATR) Olympic Games executive director Christophe Dubi says he is "very impressed" with progress made by the five cities bidding for the 2024 Olympics.
Dubi spoke with Around the Rings European editor Mark Bisson in Lausanne this week on the sidelines of a series of workshops for the 2024 bids at IOC headquarters.
In this edition of ATRadio, Bisson says Dubi was extremely happy with what the bids have brought to the IOC this week. The 2024 bids are at a very advanced staged compared to the previous bidding process for 2020 which went Tokyo, Bisson adds.
Budapest, Hamburg, Los Angeles, Paris and Rome are the cities in the running for the 2024 Games. The IOC votes on a host city at the 2017 Session in Lima, Peru.
Bisson also says a big question on everyone's mind this week was the impact of the Nov. 13 Paris terror attacks on the French capital's bid. Bisson spoke with Olympian Tony Estanuget, co-president of Paris 2024, and Dubi for more perspective on the matter.
