(ATR) Fun, useful and innovative education, bringing together Olympians, Paralympians and professional athletes with schoolchildren and teachers, is the mission of Classroom Champions.

Co-founded by 2010 Vancouver Olympics four-man bobsleigh gold medalist Steve Mesler, the non-profit has grown exponentially with more and more Olympians - including U.S. triple jump double gold medalist Christian Taylor and freestyle aerials skier Emily Cook - lining up to mentor young students in virtual classrooms with a creative touch.

On this edition of ATRadio, Mesler - also a member of the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee Board of Directors - chats with ATR's Brian Pinelli about Classroom Champions during the coronavirus pandemic, his vivid Olympic memories from Vancouver 2010 and the financial challenges that U.S. athletes must face considering the one-year postponement of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
